Adirondack Restaurants and Other Places to Eat

Loon Lake, Schroon Lake, Friends Lake, Brant Lake and Lake George Area

Adirondack Restaurants: The beautiful! Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York are well known for their variety of dining options. Not only in their unique and varied cuisine but also in the degree of formality and sophistication offered.

Adirondack Restaurants

This works well with the many reasons that bring people to visit and vacation in the Adirondacks.

Some come to stay at the five star Adirondack resorts. Some choose a more low key vacation by the lakes in cottages, or local vacation home rentals. Still others like to camp out under the stars whether it is in the wilderness or at a campground.

No matter what brings folks here, feasting at one of the Adirondack restaurants is one of their favorite activities.

That’s what makes eating in the Adirondacks so unique. Since the Adirondack Park is made up of a mix of private and public lands, you can mix your outdoor adventures with various dining options.

…Anything from fine dining, Adirondack restaurants, pubs, cafés, or diners!

Just one of countless scenarios… but imagine hiking and camping in the backwoods solitude of the Adirondack mountains. Then one evening, you decide that dinner at an Adirondack restaurant would be a welcomed change.

Let’s see … Do I want a burger charbroiled to perfection? Maybe dripping with cheddar cheese?, lettuce and tomatoes? onion?, on a homemade roll/bread?.

…. Or maybe some Adirondack native cuisine!!! … fresh Adirondack trout (rainbow or brook perhaps)?, or delicious roast duck? Or maybe some smoked Adirondack venison?

Hmmm.... I had enough beer this week. A martini or a manhattan would be a nice change!

It’s all there, something for everyone, and often within minutes of where you are located! Dining can be anything from causal to formal, from rustic to modern, or from pubs to five star restaurants.

Enjoy great food and friendly service at the eating places listed below. Because there are too many Adirondack park areas to possibly list them all, for now we’ll concentrate on:

1) Places around the Loon Lake, Schroon Lake, Friends Lake, Brant Lake and Lake George Area (some of the best of the Adirondacks).

....and

2) The places where we have been to and that we like.

…But we’re not gourmets, so “bear” with us on our recommendations!)

If you would like to submit a review of your experience at any of these establishments or if you want to recommend other eateries, just fill out this form.

Bon Bon Appetit! … and don’t forget to tell them that Jeff (from Loony-About-Adirondacks) sent you!
