Lake George Winter Carnival
The Lake George NY Winter Festival is held annually on weekends throughout the month of February. Plus Lake George holds a “pre-winter carnival event” on New Year’s Day. Check out my events calendar for the specific dates. The celebration includes a polar bear swim, parade, running race, and other events.
At the winter carnival you will find many attractions, activities and competitions that have been traditions for decades (like the outhouse races that have been going on for more than 20 years!).
The program is packed with fantastic activities and events for children and adults. There is something there for everyone. Bring your camera and capture some great Adirondack mountain photographs too! It’s great family fun!
Some activities and events are held every Saturday and Sunday during the festival while others are held on certain weekend days. So check with the Lake George Chamber of Commerce if you’re looking for a particular event. …. And when you’re here check out the view of Lake George from the top of Prospect Mountain! The activities are centered in the Village of Lake George, Warren County. It has been an annual event since 1961. It’s becoming part of the history of the Adirondacks! The festival includes many of the favorite wintertime outdoor activities of the Adirondacks.
Come for the weekend in February or just do one of those Adirondack day trips.
