Adirondack shopping has something for everyone. The spectacular beauty of the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York draws thousands each season, each year. And they are amazed at how great and varied the shopping opportunities are! Shopping is surely one of vacationers favorite activities in the Adirondacks. The scenic Adirondack Park is not only known for its fantastic hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, skiing, whitewater rafting, etc., but also for its attractions, restaurants, (… and yes great Adirondack shopping!). There are hundreds (… if not thousands) of shopping venues in the Adirondacks offering an incredible assortment of unique products! Take your pick! From factory outlets, shopping malls, quaint little gift shops, antique and craft shops, boutiques, general stores, Adirondack art galleries, art studios (… and more!). And if that isn’t enough there are always art and craft festivals happening too! Drive the mountain roads, between villages and hamlets, and you may likely find “out of the way” antique shops, local pottery, jewelry, Adirondack furniture stores, and other unique shops (… even local garage sales offering great bargains!).
The Adirondack Park is obviously just too big of an area to possibly cover all the great Adirondack shopping spots. Therefore, consistent with other topics of this web site, we will initially be highlighting shopping alternatives around the Chestertown, North Creek, Warrensburg areas and the nearby lakes (Loon Lake, Schroon Lake, Friends Lake, Brant Lake and Lake George).
