July 2010 Adirondack Events:- July 3, 2010: Loon Lake Annual Fishing Derby, open to children up to 16 years of age, trophies awarded to winners, free hot dogs, soda and chips for fishing derby attendees, 9am, Loon Lake Town Beach, Chestertown, (518) 439-5732.

- July 3, 2010: Annual Independence Day Celebration - Ski Bowl Park in North Creek. Starts at 12:00 p.m. (518) 251-2421.
- July 3, 2010: Chicken Barbecue @ Community Church @ 11am to 2pm - music in Town Park during afternoon, Parade at 6pm - Music Concert on Town Beach - fireworks, Schroon Lake Village.
- July 3-4, 2010: Arts & Crafts Festival. Rogers Memorial Park, Bolton Landing. Fireworks July 4th.
- July 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 2010: Movies on the Hill, family-friendly movies held at Veterans' Memorial Field at 7:30pm, 311 Athol Road, Athol.

- July 6, 2010: John T. Hastings Presents "Around Warrensburg", If you like old pictures, new books and local history, do come. It's free, refreshments, 7pm, Town Hall, Thurman.
- July 7, 14, 21, 28, 2010: Thurman Station Farmers’ Market, 12:30pm – 5pm, Thurman.
- July 8, 2010: “Readings at the Willows Bistro”, Two accomplished and well-published writers will read. Pedro Ponce, Poet, novelist - faculty, St. Lawrence University; Charles Watts, former TV scriptwriter (Kojak, Here Come the Brides), poet, teacher and short fiction writer. - July 17, 24, 31, 2010: Adirondack Foothills Tours, 3 separate tours, 1) Hickory Hill Heli and Hiking Tour and the 2) Forest, Farm and Country Fixin’s Escape originate at the pavilion at 815 New York State route 418 at Thurman Station, They depart at 10:35 a.m. and return at 2:30 p.m. 3) A Touch of the Wild excursion departs from 1000 Acres Ranch Resort at 465 Warrensburg Road, Stony Creek.
